Jessica Simpson to Date "Employee of the Month"
More good news for all you Jessica Simpson fans. Now that you have had time to enjoy A Public Affair, it's time to watch Jessica in her latest flick- Employee of the Month, released on 6 Octobe 2006 . Jessica recently walked the red carpet in LA for the premiere of the movie, where she praised her co-stars and thanked them for helping her through her tough times, after breaking up with Nick Lachey.
From the producers of Wedding Crashers comes this new movie - Employee of the Month, with Jessica Simpson in a major supporting role. There is also some news on a new planned film for 2007 - Blonde Ambition.
The Plot
Jessica Simpson is cast as a newly transferred, beautiful cashier (of course!) in Super Club - a discount super store. Rumor has it that she only dates employees who have won the Employee of the Month award. This leads to a hilarious store war.
The movie is set in Super Club which is the largest bulk discount retailer in the country, where membership has its privileges. The movie centers around the series of events in the upright store, where two co-workers compete for the most coveted honor of being the Employee of the Month and seeing their picture put on the wall of fame in the staff lounge. And all this is to win the affection of the new cashier Amy (Jessica Simpson). Directed by Greg Coolidge, the movie is rated PG-13 for the crude and sexual humor. The movie also conveys an inspiring message that the only failure in life is when one fails to try.
The two co-workers are Zack Bradley played by Dane Cook and Vince Downey played by Dax Shepard. They have been rivals for years. Vince with help from his pal Jorge (Efren Ramirez) has become the head cashier and has consecutively won 17 Employees of the Month awards. Zack on the other hand carries a laid back attitude which has made him popular among his colleagues. But with his 'do-nothing' attitude he is stuck in the low ranks. The rivalry only turns sour when Amy joins in and she would only date the Employee of the Month. With this the competition between the two rivals turns hilarious.
Vince is naturally able to impress Amy instantly with his flamboyant style and Zack looks for ways and means to impress the beautiful lady. Zack soon realizes that to win her affection, he must win the next Employee of the Month award.
Jessica Simpson was last seen in the movie 'Dukes of Hazzard' in 2005. In 2006, Jess was nominated for 'Sexiest Performance' by MTV Movie Awards and won the 'Choice Breakout Movie Star- Female' 2006 Teen Choice Awards. Also, she is back on “The Tonight Show with Jay Leno” that airs on September 29th 2006. Next year she would be seen in 'Blonde Ambition' and 'Major Movie Star'.
